How Culture Vultures Move II: A Glaring Example

In this second installment of "How Culture Vultures Move", I highlight
an example of Vlad not following the proper cultural protocols.

In the aftermath of the killing of Atlanta rapper, Bankroll Fresh, Vlad
interviewed rapper, No Plug, who was a suspect in the murder but
ultimately did not face charges.

Vlad faced backlash from those close to
Fresh, in particular from his uncle, Marvin Shadi, who also used to be
employed by Vlad. Shadi penned a scathing letter voicing his displeasure
with the interview. Shadi was also upset because Vlad declined to
interview anyone from Bankroll's family or camp to get their version of
events.

In the immediate aftermath of such a highly charged and tragic event,
being so eager to publish such salacious content in an effort to get
views, without understanding the politics at play behind the scenes and
how this type of action may negatively impact the situation.

But ultimately, this proves why we ADOS need to guard our culture on
every level. Politically, socially and economically. We must take
control of our narrative and check those who attempt to present false
and misleading narratives as they seek to profit from our culture.

DJ Vlad: How Culture Vultures Move

Dj Vlad professes to understand he is a guest in the house of hip hop and it's culture, however, he often over steps his boundaries as such. That he is a culture vulture is not really up for debate, even his good friend and frequent collaborator, Lord Jamar advises that Vlad is a vulture, as he eats of of the culture without contributing anything to it. Here I talk about Vlad's background, his rise to prominence and some of his missteps along the way.

Mysonne G- Checks Akon - Just Over The Wrong Issue

Recently, Raptivist, Mysonne G-checked Akon during an Instagram Live conversation. The issue was the fact that Akon went against the code
of the streets and worked with Tekashi 69. This was a spirited back and forth, however, I was hoping that Mysonne would address Akon's
comments regarding
#ADOS needing to let go of the idea of slavery and reparations.

Joe Biden's 94' Crime Bill Deserves Renewed Scrutiny

It's been 26 years since Bill Clinton signed the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, into law. It marked the crest of a steadily rising tide of laws touted as necessary to win the War on Crime. Get tough on crime rhetoric was as fever pitch. Leading the charge, for the Democratic Party was none other than Joe Biden.
